Special Requirements
Applicant understands this is a seasonal job and if hired, is expected to complete the full contract period. Operation of mechanical equipment related to the growing, harvesting, and packing of sweet potatoes is wholly dependent on a set number of individuals placed in specified positions to perform an assigned task. Absences do not solely compromise the unfilled position, but rather the entire process. Absences are considered unexcused when not documented (voicemail or text to supervisor) and/or appropriate notice is not given (day prior at minimum). Applicant must be 18 years or older and able to work with minimum supervision. All tools, supplies, and equipment will be provided at no cost. Workers should expect little/no work, but also understand work schedules can vary widely due to weather beyond the employers control. Daily hours may be extended due to harvesting demands.
