Job description
Check w/members and guests to ensure they are enjoying meals; take action to correct problems if needed; collect payments; write patrons' food orders on order slips, memorize orders, or enter orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staff; prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes; take orders from patrons for F&B check patrons' identification to ensure they meet min age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages; serve food or beverages to patrons, and prepare or serve specialty dishes at tables as required; present menus, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations upon request; clean tables or counters after patrons have finished dining; prepare hot, cold, and mixed drinks for patrons, and chill bottles of wine; and other related duties. Must be able to read and write English correctly.
Special Requirements
Six (6) months of experience as a Waiter, Waitress, RestaurantServer, or similar position in a fine dining or high-volume environment at a highend or high-volume restaurant, resort of private club. Must be able to read andwrite English correctly. All applicants are required to pass a pre-employmentdrug test; this includes domestic and H2B visa employees in seasonal or full-time and annual positions and is applied to all applicants regardless of theirnational origin, race, gender.
