Job description
Operate and tend machines and use hand tools for purposes of producing, moving, and trimming raw stone and finished stone products. Lift/carry product by hand. Count/stack/sort materials on pallets for packaging and shipping. The workers will operate various stone-cutting machines that cut and shape stone. They will use hydraulic guillotine cutters, stone saws, drills, hammers, jackhammers, hand tools, and splitting wedges to shape the stone until it is ready for palletization. Lift and carry product by hand. In some instances, the workers will use controls to operate machinery to move stone for other workers to shape. Entry Level; requires supervision.
Special Requirements
Must lift/carry 100 lbs., when necessary. Saturday work required, when necessary. Post-hire upon suspicion of use and post-accident drug testing required of foreign and domestic workers. Employer may offer more than the stated work hours, depending on weather, business needs, and other conditions. Extreme heat, cold, rain, or drought may affect exact working hours.
