Agricultural Equipment Operator

Job description

Assist with daily farm functions including but not limited to the following: Prepare seed potatoes for shipping. Attach farm implements and drive tractor in fields to prepare soil. Operate various farm equipment (tractors, farm trucks, etc.) for planting, spraying, cultivating, fertilizing, and harvesting of vegetables. Thin, hoe, and weed row crops using hand implements. Maintain and repair equipment. Other miscellaneous duties assigned. Crops: potatoes, onions, carrots, corn, soybeans, sweet corn

As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. ESST (Earned Sick and Safe Time) Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year.
