Job description

Harvest potatoes: Workers will hand pick potatoes and will place them on the harvest grader according to supervisor instructions. Workers will only pick good potatoes, clearing out debris, garbage, and dirt.

Picking stones: Workers will walk across the fields to hand pick stones to be removed following supervisor's instructions.

Driver: Workers will drive tractors, vehicles, and equipment to apply fertilizers in fields. A
proper driver’s license is required to carry out this duty; however, a proper driver’s
license is not a requirement to be hired under this job order for other duties included.
Pick potatoes: Workers will hand pick potatoes and will place them on the harvest
grader according to supervisor’s instructions. Workers will only pick good potatoes,
clearing out debris, garbage, and dirt.

Picking stones: Workers will walk across the fields to hand-pick stones to be removed
following the supervisor’s instructions.
Hauling: Workers may be required to haul harvested potatoes into trucks from the field
General Activities: During field operations, workers may be required to do field
maintenance, repairing irrigation lines in the field, picking up sticks in the fields, and
perform farm and field sanitation

Special Requirements

Workers will pick stones, hand harvest potatoes and cucumbers. Workers must exercise extreme care not to drop farm produce at any time during handling. Able to work in hot, cold and/or humid weather bending or stooping to reach ground level crops and able to stand on feet for long periods of time. Workers must be physically able to lift between 50 and 75 lbs occasionally and up to 50 lbs frequently. Workers should report to work in their own suitable clothing. 3 months of verifiable farm work experience required.
