Job description

Perform seasonal duties like: Moving cattle from summer pasture in October. Fall cattle work/pregnancy checking. Weaning. Processing calves. Feeding cattle. Working and vaccinating cattle. Maintaining feed equipment. Inspect livestock for illness/injuries. Maintaining winter grazing fences. Preparing ranch barns & grounds for freeze. Opening frozen water tanks & springs. Snow removal. Calving begins in March & finishes the end of April. Cleaning barns & pens. Preparing haying equipment. Fencing summer pastures. Branding cattle. Drive to town to pickup cattle supplies. Moving cattle to summer pasture end of May. Farming with: Beef Cattle

Special Requirements

Minimum of 1 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to the presence of children and expensive tools and equipment on the farm. Failure to pass criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Frequent stooping is required. Repetitive movements is required. Overtime and taking holiday is mandatory. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English. Employees must adhere to strict biosecurity, company policies, and food safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
