Job description

Function tractors, skid steers, loaders, augers, and conveyers for unloading grain trucks into storage facilities at harvest; manually dump grain such as wheat, canola, soybean, sunflower, corn, flax from grain trucks and semis with hopper bottom trailers during harvest; load outbound trucks with grain; assist with loading of trains by flipping lids, checking bottoms, and running locomotive; driving vehicle to obtain parts and supplies; daily repairs and maintenance to equipment and machinery. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: attach/detach implements; be able to handle working in high humidity; clean work areas; guide products on conveyors to regulate flow through machines; hand pick and manually grade crops; load and unload materials and commodities; maintain grounds and landscaping; participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops; repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; use hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, loppers, knives, wrenches, crow bars, air tools, electric tools; weigh containers and record weights and identifying information; work in extreme temperatures. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: augers, bins, silos, loading and unloading facilities, forklift, mowers and other landscaping equipment, pickups, cars, etc., skid steers, tractors. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: canola, corn, sunflowers, wheat, soybeans, flax, barley. Must be able to speak and understand English.

Special Requirements

Be able to work in extreme conditions such as heat, humidity, wind, cold. Lift and carry supplies. Follow instructions. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license within 30 days following hire and obtain clean driving record to be able to operate company vehicle. Lift up to 50 lbs.
