Job description
Operating self-propelled equipment such as semi-truck with specialized harvesting trailer in the process of reaping, harvesting, threshing, swathing or winnowing crops such as cotton and milo. Load crops onto trucks by driving alongside harvesting machines without stopping, maintaining appropriate distance. Perform manual or mechanical adjustments. Maintain and repair. Transport harvested crops from field to farm storage such as elevator, silo, or other storage area. Drive from one field to another.
Special Requirements
The worker will work 7 hours per day depending upon the conditions in the fields, weather, and maturity of the crop. Schedule is from 9am to 5pm with 1 hour lunch. However, in order to meet the three-fourths guarantee, the worker will not be required to work for more than the number of hours specified in the job order for a workday, or on the Sabbath or Federal holidays.
The name, address, and/or telephone number of at least one reference who has first-hand knowledge and can verify the workers experience will be required. Three months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain following hire appropriate CDL and obtain clean driving record to drive trucks. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
The 3 months of experience required is to prevent accidents that might occur due to a complete lack of operational understanding.
