Job description
Workers will perform duties associated with and directly related to pine straw harvest, including
but not limited to, choosing 7 rows of pines, picking up sticks and using a rake to rake the
straw and make a large pile, then bailing the pine straw and compating the straw with a shovel.
All necessary tools will be provided by the employer at cost to workers.
Special Requirements
THE WORKER NEEDS TO KNOW HOW TO RAKE AND BALE PINESTRAW PROPERLY, NEEDS TO BE IN GOOD SHAPE TO MAKE REPETITIVE MOVES,BEND DOWN SEVERAL
TIMES,EXTENSIVE PUSHING AND PULLING, EXTENSIVE WALKING ARE IMPLIED BUT NOT LIMITED TO.
APPLICANTS MUST:
*HAVE NO PHYSICAL LIMITATIONS.
*MUST BE ABLE FOR EXTENSIVE,STOOPING, WALKING, PUSHING AND PULLING.
*MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT 60/80 LBS.
*APPLICANTS MUST BE ABLE TO BALE 120 BALES PER DAY.
*APPLICANTS MUST BE ABLE TO BE EXPOSED TO EXTREME TEMPERATURES OR OTHER WEATHER CONDITIONS .
MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT 18 YEARS OLD.
THE EMPLOYER WILL PROVIDE 2 DAYS OF TRAINING POST HIRE
