There is no public or commercial restaurant operating on the premises of Amistad Ranch. The House Manager/Butler assists in service-related functions such as overseeing proper table settings, supervising meal service, and coordinating with the private chef to ensure seamless hospitality in a private, residential estate environment, not a commercial food establishment.
• Family security measures: Monitor access to the residence, receiving guests, answering the residence phone, and coordinating with ranch security personnel.
• Loading/unloading of family vehicles: Load/unload of luggage, hunting gear, household supplies, or personal items for family members and guests during travel or ranch visits.
• Cleaning and maintenance: Supervise and participate in general upkeep and cleanliness of the main residence, including light housekeeping duties (e.g., dusting, tidying living spaces, and maintaining cleanliness of formal areas), while managing other household staff.
• Serve meals and drinks and performs wait services: Oversee and perform formal table settings, meal service, and drink service in a private dining environment.
• Perform light housekeeping duties: Assist in light cleaning tasks such as organizing rooms, preparing guest accommodations, maintaining household inventories, and ensuring common areas are guest-ready at all times.
• Care and inventory of artwork and antiques: Maintain the condition and security of valuable household items, including artwork, antiques, fine china, crystal, and silver.
• Maintenance of automobiles: Coordinate the upkeep and servicing of the family’s vehicles by scheduling routine maintenance, cleaning, fueling, and inspections, often working in conjunction with vendors or on-site staff. Light maintenance and readiness checks (e.g., tire pressure, fluids) may be performed personally.
While, the House Manager / Butler is not tasked with direct animal care, from time to time, the employee will be tasked with looking after the Owner's dogs (i.e. feeding, exercise, collection / delivery from one household to the to another).

Duties: Ensure the daily operation of the house runs smoothly and efficiently; manage, maintain, and continually improve the quality of the service within the household and ensure that the highest standards and best practice are achieved in all aspects of the house; assist with staff training and organize the duties and schedule of domestic staff; schedule and oversee vendors of contracted services; assist with household and family security measures; oversee and participate in ensuring proper table settings and entertainment preparation; coordinate with other staff as needed as well as with other parts of the employer’s organization; answer residence phone; receive guests at the door and supervises the reception of visitors; assist in loading/unloading of family vehicles; keep the household budgets and inventory supplies; cleaning and maintenance; oversee family packing and travel preparations; assist with planning and organizing parties and events in the home; oversee and participate in proper table settings and entertainment prep; serve meals and drinks and performs wait services; serve as personal valet to the household and/or gentleman of the house; perform light housekeeping duties; care of clothing, care of fine china, silver, crystal; care and inventory of artwork and antiques; maintenance of automobiles; security of their employer and residence; coordinate and schedule service contractors; run errands (shopping, gift purchases, dry cleaning); and manage the household calendar. Oversees household staff.
Requirements: Minimum 24 months of traditional European country house experience. Background checks & post-offer pre-employment drug screenings conducted equally between the US and the H-2B workers.
Pay Rate: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour. Rate of pay depending on experience. Overtime - $42.00 - $51.00 per hour.

Shifts: During this period Ranch operates 7 days a week from 7:00am - 6:30pm; Shifts will vary based on need with minimum 40 hours per week. Plus 20 hours overtime (Variable)
