Job description

Technicians to inspect, diagnose, adjust, or repair wind turbines on private client properties. Perform maintenance on wind turbine equipment including resolving electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic malfunctions. Technicians will perform a variety of duties as classified in OES Code 49-9081.00, to include ensuring all wind turbine equipment is calibrated within tolerance; climbing wind turbine towers to inspect, maintain, or repair equipment; and assisting in assembly of individual wind generators or construction of wind farms. Clean, sharpen, and lubricate tools and power equipment, such as grinders, sanders, Dremel. Maintain clean and orderly work area, to include proper handling, storage of composite materials such as fiberglass, epoxy resins, fillers and paints. Must follow all safety regulations and Pronto Solutions, Inc. Safety guidelines, including but not limited to employer-provided personal protective equipment and adherence to daily safety plans.

Special Requirements

Requires minimum of twelve months of wind turbine service experience. Must lift/carry 75 lbs., when necessary and frequently kneel, stoop, twist and bend. Saturday and Sunday work required, when necessary. Employer-paid drug test required of foreign and domestic workers prior to commencing work. Post-hire background check required of foreign and domestic workers. Must be willing to climb a 200-300 foot (60-120m) ladder on frequent basis and have no fear of heights. Employer may offer more than the stated work hours depending on weather, business needs, and other conditions. Extreme heat, cold, rain, or drought may affect exact working hours.
