Job description
Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware, and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through the dish machine.
Sort and stack clean dishes. Carry clean dishes to the cook’s line and other proper storage areas. Rewash soiled dishes before delivering.
Change dishwater in the dish machine every hour.
Wash pots, pans, and trays by hand.
Remove trash and garbage from the dumpster.
Set up or break down the dishwashing area.
Clean and roll/unroll mats.
Fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions.
Sweep/mop floors.
Assemble/disassemble the dish machine.
Sweep up trash around the exterior of the restaurant and garbage dumpster.
Conduct general restaurant and restroom cleaning as directed.
Wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry.
Notify the manager of any time the dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures.
Special Requirements
This position operates in a private club setting. The employee also works in a hot, humid, and noisy environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather), fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The kitchen floor may be slippery from moisture and grease. The employee may be exposed to hazards, including, but not limited to, cuts, slips, trips, falls, and burns. Frequent hand washing is required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing and moving for an extended period. It also requires walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, kneeling, climbing, crouching, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, or lifting up to 50 poundscontinuous repetitive motions.

Typical shifts are 7:00 a.m. - 3 p.m., 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m., or 3:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m., Monday through Sunday. The specific days and hours of work will vary depending on scheduling and business level. Must be able to work all shifts. The business is open seven days per week, and weekend and holiday work will be required.
