Job description

Pour concrete at construction site. Form, smooth, level, and finish surfaces which may include walls, floors, sidewalks, slabs, or curbs with the use of various hand and power tools. Understand and implement grading procedures. Rake and shovel gravel to grade surfaces. Understand and aid other masons in measuring and laying out the jobsite. Carry and use lumber and forms to set walls and footings. Strip forms after concrete has set and return forms to crates. Rake and shovel gravel or dirt around edges of finished concrete pour. Clean and organize the jobsite and work truck at the end of each day.

Special Requirements

Requires twelve months of Concrete Mason or comparable experience. Must lift/carry 80 lbs., when necessary. Work will be conducted in various seasonal weather and environmental conditions and require the ability to stand, squat, bend, lift, and walk for long durations. Saturday work required, when necessary. Post-hire upon suspicion of use and post-accident drug testing required of foreign and domestic workers. Must have knowledge about setting forms, pouring and leveling concrete, have the ability to use hand and power tools including but not limited to; concrete saw, drills, hammer, and be able to work well in a team environment and follow instructions from management. Employer may offer more than the stated work hours depending on weather, business needs, and other conditions. Extreme heat, cold, rain, or drought may affect exact working hours.
