Job description

Employees will keep the outside of both private commercial buildings (office buildings, retail centers) and residential buildings in clean and orderly condition by removing snow from sidewalks, driveways, or parking areas, using snow blowers, leaf blowers, rakes, ice chippers, or salt spreaders; gather and empty trash and debris by hand or with a trash picker.

Workers will perform cleaning of private properties including manual snow/ice/leaf removal from sidewalks, driveways, yards, or parking areas using snow shovels, snow blowers, leaf blowers, rakes, ice chippers, or salt spreaders; trash/debris pickup; fall/winter storm cleanup including clearing debris from grounds; and dormant tree/shrub winter pruning. Clean and perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools when not in use. Go door to door and hang door hangers that offer company services. Prepare lawn signs that offer company services by putting sticks on the signs to place them along roadways, as well as staple flyers to telephone poles. Entry level; requires supervision.

Special Requirements

Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. Standard workweek is 4 days per week, Monday - Thursday. Work shifts/hours vary by day and work days vary by week to include Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, when necessary. Employer-paid drug testing required of foreign and domestic workers prior to commencing work and post-hire upon suspicion of use and post-accident. Post-hire background check required of foreign and domestic workers. Employer may offer more than the stated work hours depending on weather, business needs, and other conditions. Extreme heat, cold, rain, or drought may affect exact working hours.
