Here is a breakdown of duties for the deckhands.

* Load empty sacks onto boat
* Fill out daily tickets to attach to harvested oyster sacks
* Pull harvested oysters from water onto boat.
* Sort oysters to ensure only legal size are harvested.
* Clean oysters utilizing hatchets to remove spats
* Unload and stack harvested oysters from boat to designated pallets on dock
* Clean and refuel boat to prepare for next days trip

Deckhands should wear: gloves, waterproof vest and rubber boots (provided by employer)

Harvest and clean oysters, unload boat and clean boat. Piece rate may be offered pending prevailing wage rate.

6 month experience reqd/no education.

Lift/carry up to 100 pounds.
Employer paid drug test is Post Accident
