Job description
Planting, cultivating and harvesting Christmas evergreen trees. Removing brush, ferns and other unwanted growth from the planting areas using tractors, mattocks, and brush hooks. Scattering fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides over planted area by hand or other manual means. Planting seedlings using mattock or dribble. Shearing tree tops and limb tips from trees as as specified by farm supervisor directions. Felling trees using an axe or chainsaw. Move trees from the field to central loading areas. Dragging the felled trees weighing 50 to 100 lbs from the cutting area to baling location. Will load trees onto trucks for transport and all other duties required for farming operation. Previous work experience is preferred with a minimum of one month experience in Christmas tree farming activities. Employees may be required to submit to random drug testing, at no cost to that employee, on a random basis at post hire and is not part of the interview process.
