Description of Processes, Equipment, Systems, Projects, and Products:
The employee will work primarily in the construction and landscaping industries, specifically focusing on the installation of concrete unit pavers for residential and commercial projects. This includes base material installation, and the precise laying and alignment of concrete blocks according to project specifications and industry standards.
Processes and Systems:
• Installation of base and bedding layers, including aggregate compaction and screeding.
• Placement and interlocking of concrete unit blocks in various patterns
• Quality control measures to ensure uniformity, drainage compliance, and durability.
Equipment and Tools:
• Plate compactors, vibrating screeds, wet saws, and hand tools such as trowels, rubber mallets, and levels.
• Laser levels and string lines for layout and elevation control.
• Safety equipment including personal protective gear (PPE), barriers, and signage.

Workers will perform a variety of general labor tasks associated with hardscaping, including but not limited to: screeding sand, shoveling, moving materials throughout the worksite, and assisting skilled laborers with hardscaping tasks.

Special Requirements

Requires three months of paver installer experience. Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. Saturday work required, when necessary. Employer-paid post-hire random drug testing required of foreign and domestic workers. Post-hire employment eligibility (e-Verify) check required of foreign and domestic workers. Employer may offer more than the stated work hours depending on weather, business needs, and other conditions. Extreme heat, cold, rain, or drought may affect exact working hours.
