Job description

Ski Instructors will be responsible for explaining and demonstrating technical ski concepts using a variety of teaching methods, based off age, learning style, and ability of the students, setting lesson plans based on guest needs, upholding guest safety on varied terrain in high altitude climate with varying winter weather conditions and ensuring that students are matched to appropriate skier/snowboarding skill level, assisting guests with transportation of equipment and assisting guests to load and unload the chairlift. Seasonal preparation work includes cleaning and organization of all staff areas, uniforms, and supplies, answering phones and assisting with all office responsibilities, working with Mountain Sports Training Manager to develop meaningful clinics that reflect areas of expertise, and, periodically, assisting in racecourse set-up and tear-down, assisting in cleaning of locker room area and set up/take down and maintaining functionality and cleanliness of areas.

Special Requirements

Must possess a current PSIA/AASI Level III certification or foreign equivalent.
Applicant must complete pre-employment background check at the employer's expense.
On the job training provided.
Seven days a week. Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Example shifts: 8:00am - 4:00pm or 9:00am - 5:00pm. Shift hours may vary.
Hourly Wage: $29.46 - $40.00 per hour (based on merit and past experience with our company)
Overtime may be available at $44.19 - $60.00 per hour.
