Job description
Maintenance Engineers will be responsible for responding and attending to guest requests to resolve maintenance issues by troubleshooting and repairing minor plumbing issues such as unclogging drains, fixing leaks; repairing minor electrical problems such as replacing light bulbs, resetting breakers; repairing minor HVAC malfunctions such as filter changes, thermostat resets, and carpentry repairs such as tightening door hinges, repairing furniture. Maintenance Engineers will also perform daily checks and preventive maintenance on tools and equipment and perform basic repairs on all types of equipment by scheduling checks and services on building systems such as HVAC filters replacement, lubrication of mechanical parts, inspection of electrical panels, and testing of emergency systems such as fire alarms, exit lights. Tools used include inspection checklists, multimeters, grease guns, and standard maintenance toolkits. Logs are updated after each task. Workers will also carry out minor repairs on guest room appliances such as TVs, mini-fridges, hairdryers, maintenance on fitness equipment such as tightening bolts, replacing belts, and facility lighting such as changing bulbs, fixing switches. Repairs are made using tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, voltage testers, and soldering irons as appropriate. Schedule: 35 hours per week. Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday.
Example shifts: 7:00am to 2:00pm, 12:00pm to 7:00pm, or 3:00pm to 10:00pm. Shift hours may vary.
