Job description

All work is in connection with the ginning of cotton and will include driving a module truck (3 Axel Truck) to and from fields bringing cotton modules to the gin for processing, driving a module truck and other equipment such as forklift and skid steer to feed cotton modules onto the gin feeder, hauling processed cotton bales from gin to warehouse, hauling cotton seed products within 150 miles of the gin, hauling cotton burrs within 150 miles of the gin, loading (wheel loader or equivalent equipment) and hauling cotton Round modules on tractor trailer (Tractor with 53 to 59 foot trailers or possible doubles) to the gin for processing. This job will require the driver to perform safety inspections on trucks, trailers, and equipment. Maintain and perform minor repairs on trucks, trailers, and equipment and minor daily and incidental upkeep to trucks, trailers, equipment, and worksite. While a CDL is not required to be hired for the job, some workers employed under this job order may possess or obtain such a license. During times of peak need and depending on weather or crop conditions, hours requested may increase to up to 12 hours per day; and or over-night shifts.

Special Requirements

Be able to work in extreme conditions such as heat, humidity, wind, cold. Lift and carry supplies. Follow instructions. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license within 30 days following hire and obtain clean driving record to be able to operate company vehicle. Lift up to 75 lbs.
