Job description

The worker will perform a range of agricultural tasks related to grain farming including operating and driving tractors and self-propelled farm equipment to plant, cultivate, and harvest grain crops. Responsibilities include attaching implements (e.g., plows, discs), tilling soil, seeding, and maintaining proper crop rows. The worker will conduct routine maintenance (e.g., lubrication, fluid checks) and perform light mechanical repairs on machinery. Duties extend to transporting harvested crops, supplies, and water using non-commercial farm vehicles, as CDL is not required by Montana state regulations. Workers must obtain a Class D operator license within 60 days of employment. All work must comply with local safety and labor standards. The employer reserves the right to terminate the worker for cause due to failure to perform duties as described, violation of work rules, or inability to meet productivity standards after appropriate warnings and opportunities to improve. Termination will be escalated only after progressive discipline steps, including verbal and written notices, have been exhausted.

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion. Operator License Class D Candidate will have 60 days to obtain.
