Job description
Job duties include but are not limited to:
Feeding, watering, herding, castrating, and loading animals.
Examining animals to detect diseases and injuries.
Assisting in birthing, administering medications, vaccinations, or insecticides.
Maintaining winter animal housing areas.
Operate heavy equipment for pen care (loader and scraper)
Use of various farm and cattle-specific farming equipment
Ongoing maintenance includes cleaning, maintaining, and repair of equipment, and various workshop tasks.
Maintenance of grain bins and general buildings.
Special Requirements
Minimum of three months verifiable experience.
Workers must be able to obtain their drivers license within 30-90 days of hire.
Workers will perform manual and physical work requiring extensive pushing, pulling, sitting or walking, frequent stooping, bending over and movements might be repetitive.
Job duties include lifting of agricultural tools and equipment that weigh up to 60lbs.
Most work is performed outdoors and the Nebraska severe winter weather, will expose workers to extreme cold temperatures and severe conditions like blizzards and snow.
No texting and use of cellphone during working hours, while operating machinery, equipment and driving vehicles.
All tools are provided by the employer.
