Job description

Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul small engines used to power lawn mowers, chain saws, weed trimmers, and related equipment. Inspect equipment to determine service and repair needs. Perform complete repair and overhaul functions, including routine maintenance services for small tools (electric and gas), including lawn equipment mowers, blowers, trimmers, and related small engine/tool repair, sod cutters, bobcats, and snow equipment. Perform regular scheduled maintenance on light duty two axle gasoline trucks equipped with standard hydraulic brake systems to include oil change, tire pressure checks and light mechanical repairs that does not include electronic systems. No maintenance on diesel engine trucks. Maintenance and repairs on utility trailers to include tire pressure, tail light replacement and light electrical as needed for connection to towing vehicle. Clean up shop and tools after use. During inclement winter weather, remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, or parking areas, using handheld tools such as snow blowers, snow brooms, or snow shovels. Spread snow-melting chemicals using handheld manual salt spreaders. Clean facilities or sites, including work areas in the shop on site as well as the grounds. May assist with salt spreading/clean up outdoors on client grounds. Gather supplies and equipment used in cleaning and maintenance duties.

Special Requirements

Must be 18 years or older. Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. Saturday and Sunday work required, when necessary. Must be able to perform physical labor outdoors for at least 8 hours per day in all weather conditions, including cold, heat, and rain.
