Job description
1. Machine Maintenance & Repair:
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair Ironman Gutter Machines, Front Pull Guillotines, and other roll-forming and cutting equipment.
Perform routine maintenance, including lubrication, alignment, and calibration of machinery.
Replace or repair worn-out parts such as bearings, rollers, motors, belts, and cutting blades.
Conduct electrical and mechanical diagnostics to address issues with machine performance.
Maintain and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems associated with forming machines.
2. Preventative Maintenance Program:
Develop and implement a preventative maintenance schedule for roll-forming machines, including Ironman Gutter Machines, to minimize breakdowns.
Regularly inspect Front Pull Guillotine Cutters to ensure precise cutting operations.
Maintain service logs and records of all maintenance and repairs performed.
3. Machine Setup & Calibration:
Assist in setting up roll-forming machines for different gutter and downspout profiles.
Calibrate Ironman Gutter Machines to ensure smooth and accurate forming of gutters.
Adjust and maintain the Front Pull Guillotine Cutter for clean and precise cuts.
Train operators on the proper use and maintenance of equipment to extend lifespan and improve efficiency.
4. Safety & Compliance:
Ensure all machinery, including Ironman Gutter Machines and Front Pull Guillotines, operates in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
Conduct safety inspections and recommend necessary modifications to prevent workplace hazards.
Implement lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures when performing maintenance.
5. Emergency Repairs & Production Support:
Respond quickly to breakdowns of Ironman Gutter Machines and Front Pull Guillotines to minimize downtime in production.
Work closely with production managers and operators to troubleshoot issues in real-time.
Coordinate with outside vendors or service providers for complex repairs when necessary.
Special Requirements
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and service manuals.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
Comfortable working in a shop setting with exposure to noise, dust, and heavy machinery.
Capable of standing, kneeling, and working in confined spaces as neede
