Job description

Duties may include: Operate farm vehicles to maintain fence, haul hay/feed from storage to livestock, monitor animal health, maintain equipment/feeding areas, monitor/maintain water system. Speak/understand English & other related Farm Worker activities as per SOC/OES 45-2092 (onetonline.org).

Workers may not operate trucks, vehicles, machines, tools, or other equipment and property to which the worker has not been specifically assigned by his supervisor nor use trucks, other vehicles, tools, or other equipment or property for their personal use unless expressly authorized by employer. Workers may not misuse or remove from the farm premises any property such as trucks, tractors, tools, equipment, beds, refrigerator, etc. without specific authorization from the employer. Workers are required to follow all safety rules and common safety practices, including wearing seatbelts in vehicles. Workers must promptly report any broken seatbelts, injuries, or accidents to their supervisor or employer. Workers must be physically able to perform all job duties safely, quickly, skillfully, and in a competent manner. Workers who have a clean driving record and insurable driver's license may be required to drive company vehicles.”

Special Requirements

Must be 18 years of age. Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified. Based on Employer's discretion/cost: Worker may have random drug/alcohol testing during employment: positive test/refusal to abide = dismissal. Variable weather conditions may apply. Worker must be able to obtain a valid US Driver's License within 2 weeks of reporting to work.
