Job description

Perform duties like: Moving cattle home to their winter pastures. Fall cattle work/pregnancy checking. Weaning. Feeding cattle. Working and vaccinating cattle. Maintaining feed equipment. Inspect livestock for illness/injury. Maintaining winter grazing fences. Hauling water to heifers. Prepping ranch barns and grounds for freeze. Opening frozen water tanks. Snow removal. Shipping calves to market. Moving cattle to calving pastures. Prep barns and cattle for calving. Cleaning barns. Branding cattle. Moving cattle to summer pastures at the end of the season. Drive to town to pick up cattle supplies.

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 75 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Frequent stooping is required. Repetitive movements is required. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English. Employees must adhere to strict biosecurity, company policies, and food safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Certain roles may require a valid drivers license within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record for operating company vehicles. Exceptional performance may be rewarded with additional compensation or benefits at the employers discretion.
