Job description
Instruct or coach groups or individuals in the fundamentals of mogul skiing for the primary purpose of competition. Duties include the following: design and lead year-round training for FIS (Federation International de Ski) for elite athletes. Maintain detailed training logs, attendance records and athlete evaluations. Attend FIS competitions with the athletes, providing coaching and training services. Organize FIS registration for athletes, travel logistics, competition schedules and team competition. Provide on-snow instruction, dryland training and video analysis sessions. May evaluate athletes’ strengths and weaknesses to improve the athletes’ technique to prepare them for competition. Support athletes in setting and achieving technical, tactical and personal goals. Work with employer to ensure the safety and readiness of the athletes. Host regular parent meetings and provide guidance on competition readiness, equipment and season planning.
Special Requirements
U.S. Ski & Snowboard Level 100 certification. (Level Two preferred) Experience as a competitive mogul skier or as a mogul ski coach at the FIS level, i.e. at either the Norman Cup, Europa Cup and the World Cup. Work performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Days off vary. Work is performed through the hours of 6:00AM to 4:00PM each day. Works are split into shifts.
