Job description
Duties may include: Precondition and maintain cattle: Monitor birthing of baby calves, hay all cattle, haul water to cattle, mix feed, monitor health, vaccinate, rotate cattle between pastures. Operate feed truck/pay loader. Clean pens, maintain fence. Manure hauling. May haul cattle to market. Handling live cattle and feed trucks. Maintain facilities of feed yard. Assist with daily chores. Assist with green house duties and activities. Weed, hoe, plant, pick, wash, and crate vegetable crops. Stake and transplant crops. Work in the greenhouse planting, filling soil, and watering. Load and unload trucks during farmer's market days. Clean up fields by pulling up old plants, plastic mulch, and drip irrigation tape. Move irrigation pipes if needed. Use hoes to pick produce & other related Farmworker, Livestock activities as per SOC/OES 45-2093 (onetonline.org). Possible weekend/holiday work.
Special Requirements
Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Static strength; exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload, carry objects up to 50lbs; may climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean: equip, grounds, area. All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified.Based on Employer's discretion/cost: Worker may have random drug/alcohol testing during employment: positive test/refusal to abide = dismissal. Variable weather conditions may apply. Worker must be able to obtain a valid US Driver's License within 2 weeks of reporting to work.
