Job description

We have cattle that need to be cared for from December – June. The spring calves and cows will come home from pasture more than likely early December unless the weather conditions call for it sooner. Employees will need to check the water tanks, and using a pickup truck for hauling water, to make sure there is water always available, feed daily, check to be sure there are no sick cows/calves, and doctoring when needed. Employee duties will include assisting with calving season which could include pulling a calf, trailering them to the veterinarian if needed, and doctoring calves. Employees will complete all cattle care as assigned, and some general farm duties. No care, feeding or water will be needed while in pastures. We only need seasonal assistance during the very labor-intensive calving season.

Special Requirements

Job requires extensive walking, pushing, pulling, repetitive movements, frequent stooping and exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Job requires a regular drivers license. Require 3 months experience.

Did you know that... most J-1 workers who work more than 40 hours a week

(and in some states, more than 8 hours a day), can get paid "time and a half?"
