Job description
Prepare the soil, weed, plant, maintain crops, harvest and pack vegetables and fruits (coriander, recao, squash, okra, zuchinni, pickle, pepper, sweet pepper, eggplant, pigeon peas, yautía, taro, sweet potato, sunflower and water melon). Most weekdays are spent standing and constantly moving outdoors. Workers rarely stay in one place, as they move from one field to another for a period of time. Workers must be able to stand, walk uphill and downhill, sit, squat, kneel, squat (from the waist), push, pull, reach, lift, and carry objects weighing between 5 and 75 pounds. It may be incidentally necessary to drive and operate passenger vehicles and farm machinery. Workers must work seven (7) hours a day. The worker may be asked, but not required, to work overtime and/or federal holidays, as well as Saturdays, depending on field conditions, weather, and crop maturity. The manager or supervisor will notify workers at the end of the workday if there are any changes to the start time and expected working hours for the next day.
Workers must be able to listen, understand, and follow the instructions of the company's supervisor and manager. Workers must be willing to perform all tasks in accordance with the employer's rules and regulations during the term of the contract. Workers are expected to comply with all provisions of this Work Order and the company's work rules, policies, and procedures, and to perform any and all assigned tasks in an efficient and professional manner.
