Job description

Duties may include: Duties include but are not limited to the following: daily chores including walking pens, adjusting feeders and waterers, loading and unloading pigs. Maintaining and monitoring overall animal health, care and treatment. Help with routine vaccinations and injections. Maintenance/upkeep of farm and livestock buildings including power washing, general cleaning. Maintaining biosecurity to prevent diseases, parasites, viruses, etc. from spreading to the pigs. General maintenance tasks. Other miscellaneous duties assigned & other related Farmworker, Livestock activities as per SOC/OES 45-2093 (onetonline.org).

Possible weekend/holiday work.

Special Requirements

Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified.Based on Employer's discretion/cost: Worker may have random drug/alcohol testing during employment: positive test/refusal to abide = dismissal. Variable weather conditions may apply. Worker must be able to obtain a valid US Driver's License within 2 weeks of reporting to work. Bonus potential based on work performance at the sole discretion of the employer. Employees are expected to keep employer-provided vehicles clean and free of trash.
