Job description
Workers will perform a range of tasks related to grain and seed farming operations. Responsibilities include
operating and performing basic servicing on farm machinery such as tractors (including articulating), combines, grain
carts, planters, air drills, sprayers, skid steers, telehandlers, and both manual and automatic semi-trucks. Workers will
assist with planting, irrigation setup, crop scouting, pesticide application, harvest operations, seed cleaning, and
deliveries. Additional duties involve general labor such as loading/unloading, maintaining farm facilities, and assisting
in welding, electrical troubleshooting, and basic mechanical repairs. All tasks must be performed with accuracy,
safety, and care to avoid damage to machinery or product. Workers are expected to meet minimum productivity
standards and follow instructions from supervisors. Failure to adhere to work rules, engage in misconduct, or
consistently underperform may result in progressive disciplinary action and potential termination for cause, following
fair warning and documentation. Employees will be provided with adequate breaks, including meal and rest periods, consistent with applicable Federal, State, and local law, during the course of each workday.
Special Requirements
Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme
temperatures. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other
benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion. Operator License Class D Candidate will have 60 days to obtain.
