Job description

Performs any of the following tasks to attend to livestock: Feeding Cattle. Working and vaccination cattle. Maintaining feed equipment. Welding and carpentry maintenance. Inspect livestock for illness/injuries. Maintaining fences. Prepping ranch barns and cattle sheds for winter. Snow removal as necessary. Checking and maintaining water for cattle. Calving begins January and runs through March. Cleaning barns and maintaining bedding. Moving cows to calving grounds. Prepping bulls for Annual Bull Sale in February. Moving and sorting bulls for weighing and testing. Cleaning barns and facilities after calving season. Spring vaccination, tattooing and working calves. Sorting cows to begin spring breeding season. Fencing summer pasture in preparation for turn-out. Prepping hay equipment. Moving cattle to summer pastures. Assisting in semen collection of herd sires. Drive to town for cattle supplies.
