Job description
All work must be performed during winter months where crop acres are dormant due to cold weather and short daylight hours: Use hand tools such as shovel, hoe, chain saw for cleaning out and rebuilding irrigation ditches while crop acres are dormant and ditches are not in use. Shape ditches for proper flow; discard limbs, debris, trash, etc. Worker must be willing to to work in cold temperatures, in standing water/muddy conditions. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: clean work areas, haul crops to ports, maintain grounds and landscaping, use hand tools such as such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, loppers, and knives, use hand tools such as wrenches, crow bars, air tools, electric tools, work in extreme temperatures. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: bins, silos, loading and unloading facilities, semis. Must speak and understand English.
Special Requirements
One (1) month of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
