Job description
Use hand or power tools or equipment. Workers typically perform a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: sod laying, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, and installation of mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units. Install retaining walls, or fences. Clean facilities or sites. Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes. Operate vehicles or powered equipment, such as mowers, tractors, or chainsaws. Supplying and holding materials, tools, and equipment, assisting with cleaning of work areas and assisting with the blowing of straw and seeding, and assisting while permanent employees hammer wooden pegs into the ground for silt fence installation; and by stacking materials.
Special Requirements
Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. Saturday and Sunday work required, when necessary. Post-hire post-accident drug testing required of foreign and domestic workers. Employer may offer more than the stated work hours depending on weather, business needs, and other conditions. Extreme heat, cold, rain, or drought may affect exact working hours.
