Job description
AEWR; US Workers: TX: $11.81; H2A Workers: TX: $9.97.
Attend to live farm animals including cows, calves, stockers; Distribute feed to cattle; Break ice, thaw water lines; Prepare wheat pasture for temporary grazing; Maintain records on animals; Examine animals to detect diseases and injuries; Administer medications, vaccinations, or insecticides as appropriate; Move livestock from one location to another and move portable corrals; Maintain roads and pens; Assemble corners and stretch wire; Assist with live births and check newborn calves daily; Sort stockers for sale; Must speak English.
Special Requirements
Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a drug test at no cost to the worker and be subject to the employers drug free and alcohol free workplace policy including testing protocols. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
