Job description
AEWR; US Workers: AR: $13.40; H2A Workers: AR: $12.27.
Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 53-7064 Packers and Packagers, Hand such as: Examine and inspect containers, materials, and crops to ensure that quality and specifications are met; Sift according to factors such as color, species, length, width, appearance, feel, smell, and quality to ensure correct processing and usage; Function and monitor crop conditioning tools to ensure efficient and safe conditioning to meet quality standards including running dryers to pull down moisture content; Fill delivery trucks using forklifts, suction gates, shovels, brooms; Weigh crop-filled containers, and record weights and other identifying information; Place crops in containers according to grade; Weigh crops or estimate their weight, visually or by feel; Discard inferior, diseased, rotten, or defective crops or foreign matter, and place acceptable products in containers for further processing; Monitor and report grades; Maintain an organized work environment, including storage areas and surrounding facilities; Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and the team.
Special Requirements
Be able to work in extreme conditions such as heat, humidity, wind, cold. Lift and carry supplies. Follow instructions. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. . Lift up to 50 lbs.
