Job description
AEWR; US Workers: MN: $14.60; H2A Workers: MN: $12.92.
Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 45-2092 Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery, and Greenhouse such as: Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops including operating dryers to pull down moisture content of corn; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment as well as farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Inform farm managers of crop progress; Operate tractors such as Case Quadtrack, tractor-drawn machinery such as 1000 bushel grain cart, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) to plow, harrow cultivate soil; Load agricultural products into non CDL 10-13 speed trucks without over or underfilling bed or trailer, and drive to market or storage facilities; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Use snow blade to clear snow from farmstead and grain storage; Must speak English.
Special Requirements
Be able to work in extreme conditions such as heat, humidity, wind, cold. Lift and carry supplies. Follow instructions. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license within 30 days following hire and obtain clean driving record to be able to operate company vehicle. Lift up to 50 lbs.
