Job description

AEWR; US Workers: KS: $12.69; H2A Workers: KS: $11.43.
Attend to live farm, ranch animals that include cattle; Duties include feeding, watering, herding, grazing, castrating, branding, catching, and loading animals; Maintain records on animals; Examine animals to detect diseases and injuries; Administer medications, vaccinations, or insecticides as appropriate; Move livestock from one location to another; Clean and maintain animal housing areas; Inspect, maintain, fashion, and repair facilities, buildings, pens, yards, and fences; Drive tractors and other equipment to distribute feed to animals and to move manure/fertilizer; Provide mineral to cattle grazing corn stalks. Winter inspections on equipment, prepping equipment for upcoming season, pressure washing equipment, detailing equipment, winter shop maintenance, little bit of cattle work, pen cleaning and spreading. Must speak and understand English.

Special Requirements

One (1) month of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
