Job description
AEWR; US Workers: VA: $13.90; H2A Workers: VA: $11.82.
Perform winter care including keeping pens clean and sanitized by power washing; maintain proper logs daily to track livestock condition, check livestock multiple times daily; flushing wastes into holding pits, replacing filters, valves for water plumbing; load/unload trucks; move livestock in and out of bins based on weather condition; medicate, incinerate, and manage livestock; driving farm vehicle; minor daily and incidental upkeep to equipment and worksite; speak and understand English in communicating technical and detailed information related to the care of livestock.
Special Requirements
Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a drug test at no cost to the worker and be subject to the employers drug free and alcohol free workplace policy including testing protocols. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
