Farm Worker

Job description

Job duties include the operation of large farm equipment for transporting grain, transporting product to feedlot if necessary, harvesting, and swathing. Equipment operated includes farm trucks, payloaders, swathers, skid steers, tractors, and tractors with various implements. Non-CDL farm trucks will be loaded with agricultural products and driven on the farm, to market, or to storage facilities.

Employees will also assist with calving by checking the herd for new calves and identifying any problems when they occur. Manual duties include fencing, picking rocks, branding, maintenance, and repairs.

There are few typical days and workers may be required to change duties and/or locations often and engage in various general functions. Daily duties may vary depending on crop, weather, and field conditions. The employer reserves the right to increase workers’ pay or provide bonuses based on experience, tenure, performance, or other factors at the sole discretion of the employer.

Special Requirements

Employees must be able to lift 75 pounds since they will be lifting/dragging calves, tires, salt blocks, and mineral bags.
