Job description

The pre-season maintenance tasks will be done to machinery during the months when farming duties have halted and the machinery is not in use. List of equipment: 8 Tractor Trailer trucks, 8 Grain Trailers for trailer trucks, 2 Gravel trailers for trailer trucks, John Deere 8310 track tractor, John Deere 9430- tractor, John Deere 4730 sprayer, Ford F450. Two sets of dirt pans with laser equipment, 3 grain augers, Brandt grain vac, John Deere excavator. All the machines and equipment will go through a thorough inspection, service, and repair process. Each machine will have a manufacturer's annual maintenance procedure that needs to be followed to ensure proper operation of the equipment during the work season. This seasonal post-harvest work process will include the disassembly and reassembly of major components for replacement of bearings, lubricants, filters, parts, worn components, surfacing and welding of cracks. Cleaning of each machine must be done prior to any maintenance work. The work will include heavy lifting of machine parts and holding them in place during reassembly. The worker must be able to handle complex tasks that require logical thought, care, paying attention to details. Drive to town to pickup mechanical parts.

Special Requirements

Minimum of 12 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Frequent stooping is required. Repetitive movements is required. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English. Employees must adhere to strict biosecurity, company policies, and food safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Certain roles may require a valid drivers license within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record for operating company vehicles.
