Job description

AEWR; US Workers: KS: $12.69; H2A Workers: KS: $11.43.
Assist with calving heifers and cows, warming calves; Checking calves and cows multiple times daily; Break ice and thaw lines in watering facilities for cattle to drink; Freshen bedding with hay; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) such as swather, baler, rake, loader, tillage tool to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as hay, wheat, canola, silage; Load inputs and drive trucks to transport to employer’s fields, load employer’s crops and drive trucks to transport to fields and storage facilities such as elevators, bins, silos, piles/bags in close proximity to the farm; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Regulate conditions; Attend to live farm animals including cattle such as feeding, watering, sorting; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures. Must speak and understand English.

Special Requirements

Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a drug test at no cost to the worker and be subject to the employers drug free and alcohol free workplace policy including testing protocols. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
