Job description
AEWR; US Workers: TX: $11.81; H2A Workers: TX: $9.97.
Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops such as working with bins and augers to load carts and trailers; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as corn, cotton, milo; Load inputs and drive trucks to transport to fields, load crops and drive trucks to transport to fields and storage facilities such as elevators, bins, silos, piles/bags; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Perform pre planting and equipment prep to obtain clean seed bed. Must speak and understand English.
Special Requirements
Two (2) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a drug test at no cost to the worker and be subject to the employers drug free and alcohol free workplace policy including testing protocols. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
