Job description

Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, and storage of crops, Grade and sort products according to factors such as color, species, length, width, appearance, feel, smell, and quality to ensure correct processing and usage. Operate and monitor grain conditioning equipment to ensure efficient and safe conditioning of grain to meet quality standards. Load hoppers to feed machines with products, using forklifts, suction gates, shovels, pitchforks and other equipment. Place products in containers according to grade. Weigh products or estimate their weight, visually or by feel. Discard inferior or defective products or foreign matter, and place acceptable products in containers for further processing and shipping. Guide products to regulate flow through machines, and to discard diseased or rotten products. monitor and report grain moisture and grades. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including cleaning conditioning equipment, storage areas, and surrounding facilities. Remove snow from work areas as needed. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and the team. Load semi’s with hopper bottom trailers without over or underfilling trailers; drive and deliver grain to market using semi-trucks. Must speak and understand English.
Special Requirements
Two (2) months of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
