Job description

Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 45-2091.00, Agricultural Equipment Operators.
Duties will include:
Adjust, repair, maintain, service, set up and disassemble potato production equipment.
This includes harvesters, planters, sprayers, seed cutters, pilers, seed storage, conveyors, and other washline equipment.
Observe and listen to potato production machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions.
Operate farm equipment to troubleshoot issues and ensure that it is ready for use.
Calibrate equipment as necessary.
Record parts information and inventory of parts used.
Record maintenance being conducted.
Perform safety checks on farm equipment.
Operating a farm provided work pickup or service vehicle in order to drive to the field/farming location or to pickup/deliver parts to
the farming operation.
Full time supervision is provided and all tools are provided at no cost.
Workers must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time and work in extreme temperatures.
Lifting objects up to 50 lbs., bending, twisting, and stooping regularly will be required.
Prepare equipment and operate equipment to ensure that it is ready for potato planting
activities.

Special Requirements

3 months experience performing maintenance on agriculture equipment and operating this equipment within the past 2 years. 3 months experience required operating and conducting repair/maintenance on potato equipment. A drivers license, or ability to obtain one immediately upon hire is required. A Class A CDL is not required. A standard drivers license (class C) is acceptable. Hours of work will be offered above 40 hours per week, but is on a voluntary basis. Work schedules may fluctuate relative to weather conditions, field conditions, and crop conditions. t Work may be offered on holidays or on an employees Sabbath day. The employee is not required to work on these days. Work hours may fluctuate due to production schedules. Employees must be able to perform the duties and meet the physical requirements of the job for the duration of the contract.
