Farmworker/laborer

Job description

Farm workers are needed for this seasonal cow/calf operation to perform all job duties of hay production and storage. Workers may use tractors with implements, hand tools, and small machinery to perform these tasks.

Workers will also be responsible for the care, feeding, watering, and vaccinating of livestock, as well as maintaining the pens, fences, and water troughs. Planting, cultivating, and harvesting forage crops, tedding (spreading to dry), raking, and baling. Daily farm and ranch activities will include plowing, planting, irrigation tasks, cleaning processing tools, and routine maintenance of equipment and supplies.

Drug testing may be performed upon accident, incidence or randomly at the discretion and cost of the employer. Failure or refusal of a drug test are grounds for termination.

Special Requirements

Hours listed in Section A.6 are the anticipated hours to be worked. The employer may offer additional work hours or these hours could increase or decrease based on weather conditions, crop delay, pests or disease, crop yield, available labor, and or productivity. Use of electronic devices during work hours is restricted to emergencies only.
