Job description
Workers will be required to plant seeds for vegetables and plants and transplant seedlings and place in suitable growing conditions. Watering plants, check plants for disease and pest. Pruning. Preparing hanging baskets. Water and cultivate fields, help apply fertilizers, lay plastic, drip and lay flat, etc. Workers will be required to hand harvest vegetables including but not limited to Tomatoes, squash, melons, etc. This will include harvesting in a bucket and pouring it over into a picking bin. Some tractor driving may be required. Workers will be required to do general farm labor, such as cleaning and picking up trash in the field, housing and greenhouse areas. Washing and sanitizing buckets, bins, tools, etc. Workers will be required to grade and pack vegetables in a box. Drug testing may be required at no cost to the worker to ensure worker safety and keep in compliance with workers compensation guidelines. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination. Workers must be able to perform all duties required.
