Job description
Remove wool from sheep. Shear with power driven clippers at least 90 ewes/lambs per day
without tying the feet. Exercise care not to nick, pink, or cut skin and to avoid double cuts. Clip
wool close to hide so that the wool is removed in one piece, ready for the wool grader to
examine and sort according to quality. Keep equipment cleaned and oiled. Will also set up
shearing plant prior to shearing and pack up shearing plant upon completion of shearing so
everything is ready to move to the next job site. 1 Month experience required. it is important
that the sheep shearers and the wool grader work in cooperation with other for the proper
handling of the wool. Fairchild Sheep Shearing LLC will provide each worker with an
emergency telephone at no charge to the worker during the entire period of employment.
Employer, Fairchild Sheep Shearing LLC will provide the following tools, motor and hanger at
no cost to the workers, and will provide each worker with an emergency telephone at no charge to the worker during the entire period of employment.
Special Requirements
Person seeking new employment must provide at least one reference from recent employer.
Worker who is terminated or quit, where employer provides timely notification to the CNPC and DHS
will relieve the employer of subsequent transportation and subsistence and 3/4 guarantee.
