Job description

We need a qualified worker to assist in preparing cattle for sale. Duties will include herding, grazing, castrating, branding, weighing, catching and loading animals. Employees will also need to maintain records on animals, examine animals to detect disease and injuries; assist with birth deliveries; and administer medications and vaccinations as appropriate. Will need to operate trucks and tractors and other equipment to distribute feed and assist with cutting of forage as directed. Drive pickup trucks and trailer to haul cattle. The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience. Workers returning for a consecutive season will be paid at their previous season’s rate if that rate exceeds the current published rate.

Special Requirements

Must have appropriate drivers license or be able to obtain one within 30 days of hire. Employer will conduct post-hire criminal background checks at no cost to the employee and will not employ anyone with a felony/theft/sex offender criminal background as required by the workplace safety policy and company hiring practices as allowed by law. Require three month's experience and a high school diploma or GED.
